Wicked Blogging

The Club El Diablo blog has moved to

I’ve finally made the leap and combined my blogs into a central location. I will no longer blog here so please follow the link above and join me on my wicked story telling adventures and learn about all my books under my pen names.

Temporary Dom

I’ve delayed writing a blog post about the release of Temporary Dom because I was worried. Yep, I admit it. This book was a rollercoaster for me to write and I worried that readers might shy away from the intensity of the story.

Originally Temporary Dom was a mff book. I wrote over fifty thousand words with two female characters and Luke. I struggled, I pouted, I paced, I stomped my feet. Finally, I discovered this not so amazing key on my computer called “delete” and that’s what I did. Goodbye manuscript.

I’ve always said my characters talk to me and it was never more apparent than Luke’s inner dialog in my head. “I love Machala and only Machala. I’m not interested in another woman!” Once his words sunk into my stubborn brain, I started writing the story again. It flowed. The words weren’t always easy but I stopped fighting how I thought the book should go and wrote from my heart.

So now Temporary Dom has been out for a week. Not since Caught By Two Doms have I received so many emails and messages about a book. I’m amazed at the reaction and also humbled. This book isn’t pretty. It’s sadistic and twisted. But the bottom line, the one my readers discovered, and the one that I worried wouldn’t come through—Luke loves Machala!

If you’re concerned that this book might not be for you, please read the reviews on Amazon and Goodreads before you make your final decision. This story will make you uncomfortable at times but at its heart, Temporary Dom is a love story.

Procrastination On The Back Burner

Now that I’m a full-time writer, it’s easier than ever to procrastinate. I tend to get sidetracked with everything going on around me. I’m sure my Facebook friends will attest to this. I start every morning on Twitter and Facebook, and I mean every morning. An hour goes by in a blink. I refuse to admit to three.
Hiring an assistant/publicist was a no brainer for me. Having someone find those cute and sexy Facebook pics is an added bonus. I wish I could say I’m spoiled but it’s simply not true. This awesome lady kicks my butt.
“A newsletter, you need a newsletter!”
Ha… thus procrastination. The laugh was really on me because a “fill in the blank” edition arrived in my in-box this week.
“Post your introduction here”
“Post what you’re working on here”
And so it went. Two hours later, my first newsletter was ready to go and The Writing Chronicles came to life. The funny thing, I enjoyed every minute and I’m proud of the end result. Even the design, which I had nothing to do with, is perfect. So without further procrastination or bragging, I hope you’ll click on the link below and read the first issue. There’s a signup button in the right-hand column of the newsletter too. I promise not to overwhelm your in-box but I'll let you know when I have a new book releasing or might be in your area for a book signing.
Now back to writing, I swear!

Kept: An Erotic Anthology

I've loved vampires for as long as I can remember. When asked to contribute a book to the "Kept" erotic anthology, I didn't search far in my scrambled writer's mind for the story.

Think war between a werewolf type beast and humans. We are loosing and vampires might be the only ones who can save us. Throw in kick-ass female Sergeant Kelly Myers who may be able to change the tide of battle. Is she willing to sacrifice her blood and body to the hottest vampire in the universe to save her country?

Damn straight she is!

Here's the rundown of all the stories in Kept:

From the darkest parts of the underworld, to aliens hunting on Earth, to planets far away, each of these capture-themed novellas by six bestselling authors takes you on a wild ride that will heat up your fantasies and keep you up all night long…reading.

From Angela Castle - For alien King K’marr, time is running short, he captures and claims the human Ashlyn Sawyer as his. Yet, Ash objects over his methods of persuasion. Can K’marr convince Ash they are Soul Bonds or will she let him succumb to the abyss of madness?

From Cari Silverwood’s new Preyfinder series - A Preyfinder is trained to withstand hardship and pain, but Jadd would rather kneel before a firestorm than leave his captive, Brittany, to be stalked and killed. The choice between love and loyalty to his soldier brothers may tear him in two.

From Sorcha Black - Lying tangled in her sheets each night, dreaming of sex, virginal Shiloh never meant to tempt the spying succubus. Even so, the accident of their mutual infatuation wouldn’t save Shiloh or Moth from the Council’s wrath.

From C.L. Scholey - Lost in a forest, poison ivy for an unwanted companion. Two hot aliens take the form of friends spirit her away aboard their alien vessel. Can life get any stranger for Cali? It can. Add some mind blowing sex and hang on!

From Leia Shaw - After accidentally turning off a device that could destroy earth, Maggie finds herself abducted by Baen, a man with an accent as sexy as his rugged looks. As he drags her to Scotland to fix it, chemistry between the two explodes, but is it enough for a happily ever after?

From Holly Roberts - Sergeant Kelly Myers fights a war that humans are losing but there may be a way out. Can she sacrifice her blood and body to a vampire to save her country or is Talon worse than the evil trying to kill them all?

Join me and the rest of these writing crazies at the Facebook Party on March 5th: Kept Release Party for games, prizes, and some hot and sexy pics to get you excited for the book. I will take over from 1:30 pm US EST to 3:00pm but if you miss me, I'll be in and out the entire day and evening.

When Writing Gets In The Way of Writing

This post is to let everyone know I'm listening to your requests for Temporary Dom. I must have it to the editor March 1st and plan to release in late March. I'll post the date as soon as it's firm.

"Strike" (A Completion Book) just released in ebook and paperback. It was about 5k longer than anticipated and I missed my editor deadline by twelve hours. Shame on me! Thank you everyone who pushed the first book "Play" to the top 100 on Amazon in the Romance/Sports category. It's still there and I pinch myself daily. Here are the buy links for "Strike"

I have a fun surprise coming out March 5th. I was invited to write a short story/novella with Leia Shaw, Cari Silverwood, Sorcha Black (These three talented ladies write the Bad Ass Brats Series, which I'm in love with) Angela Castle, and SL Scholey.

My story "Crimson Warrior" will be the first of a three part vampire series, all novellas, which I will release later this year. Each story in the "Kept" collection is yummy and HOT! We could use some Goodreads help by putting it on your To-Read list

This leads me to "Dragons Don't Cry" which I wrote under my pen name D'Elen McClain. Start to finish took sixteen days. Of course, I did little else but write though my waistline doesn't show it. I've had the story in my head for a while but for some reason it just decided that it was time to hit the laptop. I love these characters but we'll see what readers and reviewers say later this year when this first book in the series comes out. There is still editing and re-writes to do but it feels good to have it in the wings waiting.

Now, it's back to Temporary Dom. Gosh, I love to hate this guy or sometimes the other way around.

December Holiday Event on Goodreads

One of my favorite groups on Goodreads is hosting a holiday event with games, fun, and prizes. There are a few goodies from me included. I love this group because we are readers and writers unashamed that we enjoy erotica. If you're not a member, follow this link: and join the fun, meet other like minded people, and find some great books to read.
